This .5" single extrusion, non-toxic vinyl hose has a working pressure of 45# and is produced with fda approved compound. recommended for non-pressurized cool water uses such as fresh water, sink, shower, livewell and refrigerator drain lines.. I used this type of hose at all thru hulls. when i got the boat, the cockpit drain hoses were the original corrugated type as tin kicker shows above and very near failure where they had been chafing on a stringer. these hoses were connected to the sink drain always open thru-hull and would have sunk the boat if they sprang a leak.. The hose is 44" long and has a cap. the end of the hose is approx 13/16 and passes through all standard 1/2"npt drain plug outlets. these drains kits use 3/8" marine hose. note: to pull drain hose through the external drain plug requires a minimum 7/8" hole. gen 4 bbc oil pans are typically 1/2"-20 and gen 5/6 pans are typically 12mm metric..
