Yellowing on white vinyl? do not use these products to clean your vinyl-covered boat interior formula 409 (bottle states 'not for use on vinyl'), murphy's oil soap, simple green, dc plus, armorall, top kote sealant, son-of-a-gun, orange 88 degreaser, roll-off, bleach/baking soda, turtle wax/tar remover (containers state 'not for use on vinyl'), apco, harbor mate.. Thanks guys for all the suggestions. i actually found spray 9 marine in the boating section of walmart for under $5. it's a good vinyl cleaner, but didn't phase the yellow. had some luck with magic eraser with starbrite vinyl cleaner, but i think i'm off to the tilex next. i'm a little scared of using bleach still, but i may end up there. Boat builders use a flame lamination process (outsourced) to add 1/4" foam to the back of the vinyl. this is a burning process melts a small portion of the foam and attaches it to the back of the vinyl. burning the foam accelerates the oxidation process and the foam begins to turn yellow..
