An 18fter should plane out with the 115hp and if it doesn't something is wrong. the 115 hp motor is definetly not a ton of power on that boat and if its a 4stroke its even worse, but it should still plane just won't be a speed demon. that motor should be 80hp at the pump.. Man, that 60 horse should plane that thing off no problem. i do know on my yamaha, when you want to trim it down, it seems like it takes forever for it to trim all the way down past the tilt position. but if you don't do it, the boat won't plane off very fast either. i would just make sure it is trimmed down all the way to your stop..
